These are great places to explore on your short-break, with friends, or with the children.

One is from Series 3, Beric Dondarrion’s Hideout, Pollnagollum Cave in Belmore Forest which is part of the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark in Co. Fermanagh. Its name is Irish for ‘hole of the doves’. The cave is fed by a waterfall and swells to a torrent during harsh weather. If you fancy catching a glimpse, you can follow the Belmore Forest walk which leads to a viewing point for the cave.  From our award winning accommodation the March Arch Caves are less than thirty minutes drive.

Belle Isle's self catering accommodation

From the Marble Arch Caves which is worth a full morning,  you can drive the short distance to our nearby town of Enniskillen.  The drive is wonderful through the beautiful Fermanagh countryside.

Door of Thrones

Experience Northern Ireland Game of Thrones® territory and discover the Doors which tell the story of Season 6

Last year Tourism Ireland saved the wood from two trees at the Dark Hedges – known in Game of Thrones® as the Kingsroad – which fell during Storm Gertrude (2016). The wood was then used to make a series of 10 beautifully engraved doors, each one telling the story of the latest episode in season six.

Door 4 is placed in Blakes of the Hollow in Enniskillen town!  The Door features several striking designs, immortalising the Targaryens and Arryns. Renowned for its traditional Irish heritage, Blakes of the Hollow is one of the most famous and well recognised Victorian pubs in Ireland. It is a must see attraction which has graced Co.Fermanagh’s shores for over 125 years.  Its a great place to have a warming cup of coffee or something stronger, the food is well worth trying.
