Do you have any accessible rooms?

The Castle has one fully wheelchair-accessible bedroom located in the Abercorn Wing bookable eight weeks in advance. This bedroom is furnished with a wet room style bathroom, assistance rails and offers plenty of space for a wheelchair. Many of our other bedrooms are located in areas of the Castle that access is by stairs only and it is always advisable to check before you make your reservation. Please call 02866387231 if you’d like to make a reservation or check accessibility in advance of your booking.

Can I select a specific room?

We endeavour to book guests into preferred rooms where possible, however, we cannot guarantee a specific room as it may be already booked. Given the age of the property, from time to time we may have unavoidable maintenance works or necessary room upkeep which can, unfortunately, put certain bedrooms out of service.

There are other occasions where guests may have quite specific accessibility needs, such as requiring a lift to our Abercorn rooms or a walk-in shower. We also have some rooms that can accommodate families, whereas others cannot. For these reasons, although we will do our utmost to allocate a guest with a preferred room, it cannot be guaranteed. Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements prior to your stay.

What is the difference in the bedrooms in the castle?

All the rooms at Belle Isle Castle Luxury Bed and Breakfast have been individually styled and graded five-star by Tourism Ni, no two rooms are the same, each is beautifully unique.

As you explore the room types, the rooms have aspects that make them that little more luxurious and special. Some rooms are extremely spacious, some have stunning views and you may have a separate bath and shower, whereas other room types can sometimes have one or the other.

Some rooms can sometimes have more limited views but are still delightfully charming bedrooms. Every room has been uniquely decorated with beautiful furnishings by our interior designer.

Can I join a waiting list if a date I want to stay with you is fully booked?

We do not hold waiting lists. If a room cancels it will be released back online automatically for resale.

Can I check dates beyond lead in times?

Our events diary changes on a daily basis. A date that might be looking like it could become available for Bed and Breakfast might a couple of days later get booked for an event.

Our reservations team are happy to give you an indication of how things are looking and will certainly be able to rule out any dates that already have a confirmed event in. We cannot, however, guarantee Bed and Breakfast dates beyond the relevant lead in time.

I’ve checked availability online and whatever date I input it just says that no rooms are available, why is this?

This is because of the lead in times for bookings as explained above. It quite likely means that they are yet to be released and will be released in line with the lead in times, providing there are no private functions booked in. If you are unsure, it is always best to phone reservations on 02866387231 who will happily check dates for you.

What do you mean by a ‘lead in time’?

Abercorn Wing bedrooms and Hamilton Wing bedrooms are available on an eight-week lead in time. Lead in time refers to how far in advance you can book a room.

Bed and Breakfast accommodation is only available to book on dates when we do not have an exclusive-use private function booked.

How does Belle Isle Castle manage the bed & breakfast in relation to private events?

Both accommodation wings can be booked together or separately in conjunction with a private event and on such event days Bed and Breakfast accommodation is not available.

On dates when the Abercorn Wing or Hamilton Wing is not hosting a private event guests will be able to book online within the Lead In Time.

Please clarify the differences between the two wings, i.e. The Abercorn Wing bedrooms and the Hamilton Wing bedrooms.

Both the Abercorn Wing and the Hamilton Wing accommodation are what constitute Belle Isle Castle. Guests staying on a bed and breakfast basis will have access to all the lounges in the Castle and the Great Hall for breakfast and Dinner if applicable when there is not a private booking.

On dates when we do have private events in the Abercorn Wing, Hamilton Wing guests will have access to the Hamilton side of the Castle only and correspondingly, if the Hamilton Wing is booked privately, Abercorn Wing guests will have access to the Abercorn side of the Castle. In any event there is ample dining and relaxation space on either side of the Castle.

Guests from both wings can relax on the Library terrace or sunken garden when the weather allows.

What is your cancellation policy?

Where can I get an evening meal?

Breakfast and an afternoon snack menu are available for guests when the Castle is open for individual room sales.
