This is our second visit in 18 months. We love this place. If you’re looking for peace and tranquility, with exceptional scenery and 5* accommodation, this is for you. Set in stunning surroundings, and away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Belle Isle is a hidden gem. We have stayed in 2 different self catering lodgings, and both were excellent, with all mod cons, spotlessly clean and offering great views. I can’t think of enough positives for this place. If you haven’t visited yet, you need to put Belle Isle on your wish list!!

Cute, rustic yet modern, clean and well appointed cottage. Understand that this is a fully "self-catered" accommodation. Our stay was very brief (one night), so us not being prepared for what fully self-catered meant wasn't a big issue for us. Ideally, we'd have had some small additional amenities, such as coffee and creamer available. Overall, a great lodging option. Also appreciate the on-site staff (Amy) waiting a bit past normal business hours for our arrival, to ensure that our check-in was seamless.

A lovely relaxing place to stay to recharge. The rooms are quaint and charming the fireplace made every night exceptional. The host were very warm and accommodating and helped with any problems that we had which were none would recommend this to anyone.

The accommodation was very clean and beds very comfortable. All necessary amenities provided. I would consider staying here againThe only issues was the upper room had no blinds on the velux windows. Also the carpet was stained and needed hovered.

This was our second stay at Belle Isle in the ‘Ash’ Courtyard Apartment. As always it was peaceful and relaxing, the right location to recharge the batteries. It was fantastic to see the changes that are happening in the estate since the new owner took control. The Wedding Pavillion has become a more permanent structure and looks amazing. We enjoyed our walks around the estate with our dog Jasper, who had a great time collecting sticks, and the donkeys Ollie and Cosmo enjoyed their daily apples. A big thank you to the team at Belle Isle who work hard to make this a wonderful place to come and stay!Kind regardsAnita and Gary Davison and Jasper.

Back again this time without any storms brewing. This stay was in Oak cottage with its charming upstairs bedroom.The weather was sunshine most of our stay, blue sky really does look better in Belle Isle. Leisurely walks around estate are recommended to enjoy the peace and quiet of this part of The Lakelands.Planning our next stay very soon. Finally nice meeting you John and thanks for kind gesture.

Stayed in Belle Isle cottages. Stayed Feb. Was very quiet. Great value for family of 6 for two nights. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Great having a log burner that you can light when you want. Some of the rooms are in need of a little tlc but for the price it is fantastic base to explore surrounding area's. Feeding the two donkey's was the highlight of the weekend.

Belle Isle is a beautiful and tranquil setting , we stayed in one of the coach houses which was very well presented , immaculately clean and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen had everything needed for self catering ,All the staff where extremely helpful and friendly had time to talk with you and genuinely liked to hear about your day , even though we were not staying in castle we were allowed a look inside and it is absolutely amazing , fabulous decor through out really enjoyed our stay and yes it was raining but that didn’t matter because it was great to have an excuse to stay in and lit the wood burning stove , bottle wine and chillAbsolutely loved our stayThank you everyone for making it such a great couple of day and hope to be back soon

Belle Isle was a perfect getaway for my family and I (2 adults + 3 children)! The cottage was spacious and extemely cozy. Very comfortable beds and sparkling clean facilities. The added bonus was the cozy fireplace - that was the icing on the cake!

Belle Isle is a very restful location where you are guaranteed a good night's sleep as there isn't a sound. The Courtyard apartments are furnished in keeping with the building so they are comfortable but not luxurious. The beds are very comfortable and the woodburning stove was especially welcome in frosty weather.

We had a wonderful few days outside Enniskillen at this beautiful estate just after Christmas. It was so good to find such a lovely place that welcomed dogs. The key was ready for us in an envelope at the cottage reception (it was late). The lights & heat were on and a lovely surprise chilling in the fridge! The apartment/cottage was spotless and comfortable and the bed was really comfy. The log burner worked perfectly and was a delight to sit in front of with logs etc available up at reception.Our only "gripe" was the wicker sofa/couch; it was not that comfortable but it didn't interfere with our enjoyment of our stay. We piled lots of cushions on it.All in all, we can highly recommend a Belle Isle Cottages for a peaceful, scenic and confortable break. We will definately go back.

A terrific place to visit for a holiday break! The accommodation is truly five star. The walks around the estate fantastic, especially with the dog. The staff make you feel very welcome and would do everything in their power to make your stay a first class experience.

A place to switch off and totally relax. We visited Belle Isle in October and were very fortunate weather wise. A car is required as there is nowhere to eat, drink or shop at Belle Isle just glorious peace and quiet. Dog friendly although dogs must be kept on a lead when outside the accommodation. We had a fully and tastefully decorated courtyard apartment complete with log burner. Will definitely return there.

Great place to stay, apartments have everything you need and want. A beautifully quiet nights sleep. Lovely views. Fab sunset. The grass in the walled garden was a joy for bare feet. Enjoyed the donkeys and the cows. My retriever not so much 😂. He’s scared of cows. Although pets are welcome they must be on their leads when out walking, which I didn’t pick up on when reading other reviews before I booked, so be advised. I had planned to just chill but the walks around the accommodation itself are very limited so we headed out instead. Glad we did. Crom Estate was divine, and my pup got to run wild and free at Big Dog Forest. The view from Little Dog was to die for. Great place for kids, not so much big dogs.

Two days celebrating my sister's wedding felt like a week as we settled into "our " castle. The rambling mansion offered plenty of rooms for socializing or quiet moments. The bedrooms were large, each decorated in tasteful style in tune with the grandeur of the castle without compromising comfort and modernity. The grounds are expansive, cows and sheep speckle the views of rustic woodlands, fields and lake. It really is the perfect setting for a private event away from distractions.
